Dr Maggie He

Dr He is a Cardiologist with subspecialty expertise in interventional cardiology. She is known for her calm, patient-centred approach and her ability to clearly explain heart conditions and treatment options, helping patients feel informed, supported, and confident in their care.

Dr He has a strong interest in the management of coronary artery disease and heart attack care, combining advanced procedural skills with evidence-based, individualised treatment. She takes a holistic approach to cardiovascular health, recognising the importance of prevention, lifestyle, medical therapy and long-term risk reduction alongside procedural care.

Dr He completed two years of dedicated interventional cardiology fellowship training, first at Gold Coast University Hospital and then through the prestigious Australia and New Zealand Endovascular Therapies (ANZET) Fellowship at Leeds General Infirmary in the United Kingdom. Leeds is the busiest primary PCI (heart attack) centre in the UK, and through this fellowship Dr He gained extensive experience in high-volume, complex and high-risk coronary angioplasty and stenting, including the treatment of left main disease, heavily calcified arteries, and acute heart attacks.

Prior to her subspecialty training, Dr He completed her cardiology advanced training locally at Gold Coast University Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, achieving Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). Alongside her clinical work, she remains active in medical education and research, holding a Senior Lecturer position at Griffith University’s School of Medicine and Dentistry and contributing to international peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
