Imaging Cardiologist
Dr Bruno Jesuthasan is an Associate at the Queensland Cardiovascular Group. His main interests include cardiac MRI, echocardiography including stress echocardiography and transoesophageal echocardiography, coronary angiography, and permanent pacemaker implantation.
Dr Jesuthasan graduated with Honours from Monash University Medical School in Melbourne in 1998 under a scholarship awarded by the Australian government. He undertook his basic physician training at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, and advanced training in cardiology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide. He became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2006.
Dr Jesuthasan embarked on PhD studies under the supervision of A/Prof. John Beltrame and Prof. Thomas Marwick following his advanced training. The PhD involves imaging studies utilising cardiac MRI and echocardiography in microvascular dysfunction in coronary vasculature. He is in his final year, and was awarded the National Health and Medical Research Council scholarship for his PhD.
