Centralised Referral Hub and Patient Services

 Queensland Cardiovascular Group’s Patient Services Team follows through directly with all patient referrals to ensure that patients are contacted quickly and have a planned appointment as soon as possible. 

  • We simplify the referral processes  by using a single point of entry for all new patient referrals.
  • We value patient-centred communications and access to the right service at the right time. All referrals are acknowledged within 24 hours.
  • Our patient-centred approach has improved access to Consultant Led Services and Integrated Care Pathways.

How to refer to our Specialist Consultant-Led Services, Nurse, Testing and Imaging within QCG

We recommend that referrers use either Smart Referrals or Secure Messaging to submit referrals.

Smart Referrals

Smart Referrals are digital referrals integrated with best practice and medical director software enabling faster, streamlined management of referrals to and within Queensland Cardiovascular Group.
Smart Referrals will simplify access to Consultant-Led Services, thus providing an improved patient experience, efficient handling of referrals, and improved access to care pathways.
